Durable energy transmission for harsh environments
HELUKABEL presents new TPE energy chain cables and corrosion-resistant, stainless-steel chains at the Hannover Messe 2024.
Chains, Cables, Assemblies: Quality from a single source. This is the HELUKABEL Group's motto for this year's Hannover Messe (22-26 April). At our stand in hall 13, stand D88, visitors can personally inspect our durable drag chain cables with robust TPE sheathing as well as the new stainless-steel model of our proven SLE drag chain.

Our partner country for the Hannover Messe 2024 is Norway. They provide solutions for challenging industrial applications in harsh environments, such as the offshore and energy sectors. The HELUKABEL subsidiary EKD Systems is presenting the new stainless-steel model of their SLE drag chain line for the first time at the show. This model is corrosion and seawater-resistant and provides a reliable and frictionless supply of energy even in arctic temperatures as low as -40°C. The chains are available in different sizes up to 150 mm in height and 1,200 mm in width. They can carry weights up to 60 kg per metre and allow unsupported lengths of up ten metres. The interior can be individually constructed with aluminium channels, modular plastic inserts, or cable-protecting foam inserts. This makes them a versatile and durable solution for drilling platforms, hydropower plants, and many other outdoor applications.
In order to fill these drag chains, HELUKABEL has expanded its portfolio of HELUCHAIN drag chain cables with multiple new cables featuring TPE sheathing. This plastic material is especially robust and abrasion-resistant, which makes it ideal for extreme mechanical loads and weather conditions. With this, a new integrated solution of chain and cable is available for customers. Operators have the choice between the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED TRONIC stranded bundle data cable, the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED TRONIC TP twisted pair, and the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 600 single-core cable, all available in both screened and unscreened models. The single-core cables are available with cross-sections up to 250.0 mm2 and are suitable to be used as supply lines in the largest drive systems. With the HELUCHAIN MULTISPEED 522 TPE control and connection cable, which was presented last year for the first time, the collection is complete. The complete product family is UL-certified and suitable for international use.
Earthing Concepts and Single Pair Ethernet
Another focal point of the HELUKABEL stand is the subject of earthing. Earthing is a very important part of industrial automation since more and more machines and systems are working side-by-side in confined spaces with their electromagnetic fields constantly influencing each other. In order to prevent disruptions in the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), HELUKABEL offers a wide range of earthing straps, protective conductors, and earthing blocks, which provide customers with custom and functional earthing solutions without the heavy installation costs.
Users can also choose from HELUKABEL's wide range of data, network, and BUS cables. This includes the HELUKAT copper or HELUCOM fibre optic cables, for example, which exhibit exceptional transmission properties in demanding environments. The future-oriented technology of Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) which makes the transmission of data at gigabit speeds possible using only a single pair of wires, is already being offered by HELUKABEL in many cable types. With this, HELUKABEL, as a premium member of the SPE Industrial Partner Network, is regarded as a driver of innovation.
Industrial-grade Assemblies and Automatic Winding Technology
The HELUKABEL subsidiaries Sangel Systemtechnik and KABELMAT Wickeltechnik are also taking part in the show. Sangel offers high-quality, industrial-grade cable assemblies suitable for machine and plant construction. KABELMAT develops tools and machines for storing, winding, and cutting cables and wires, steel ropes, pipes, tubes, and profiles. Visitors can survey the LAGROL cable drum rack and the MOTROL ring and spool winder, as well as examine the innovative Aufmaster measuring instruments and accompanying software. The idea behind the system is to automatically measure and document cable sections on the construction site, allowing electrical firms can save both time and money, as well as simplify project invoicing.
